More Than 100 Firefighters Respond Friday to Fire at Arlington Boulevard Business

No injuries in Friday afternoon fire.

Fairfax County Fire and Rescue sent more than 100 firefighters to a blaze Friday at a business on Arlington Boulevard in the Falls Church area, according to a report by Fox-5 TV.

The fire broke out around 3 p.m. at Skyline Nail Supply, 7234 Arlington Blvd., described in its directory listing on Falls Church Patch as "a large store filled with all kinds of spa supplies, from spa chairs to nail polish to signs. The shop is located in Graham Center strip mall, across from Loehmann's Plaza."

A fire broke out in the storage area, where highly flammable chemicals were stored, according to the Fox-5 report.

The two-alarm fire was made more difficult for firefighters who were also dealing with extremely cold temperatures Friday, the Fox-5 report pointed out. The high temperature for the Falls Church area on Friday was 33 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

No injuries were reported and the fire did not spread to any other businesses.
