Man Stabbed to Death Thursday Morning in Seven Corners

Police used helicopter Thursday morning to find, apprehend suspect.

A man was stabbed in an early-morning altercation at an apartment in Seven Corners, according to Fairfax County Police.

Police were called at 6:18 a.m. Thursday to the 2900 block of John Marshall Drive in Seven Corners.

They found a man stabbed to death and a woman who was also in the apartment, wounded with non-life-threatening injuries, according to Lucy Caldwell, FCPD spokeswoman. 

Using a police helicopter, officers apprehended a man shortly after arriving on the scene. An officer and the suspect were both injured during the incident but those injuries are also non-life-threatening, Caldwell said. The man will be charged.

As of about 10:45 a.m. Thursday, police had not yet released information on the identities of the deceased man, the suspect or the injured woman. Police did say they knew each other but did not say how.

No word on whether other people were at home at the apartment.
