Police: Child Injured by BB Gun, Purse Stolen at Chipotle, Assault + Robbery on W&OD Trail

The following information is from the City of Falls Church Police. An arrest does not mean a conviction.

Members of the City of Falls Church Police department were busy investigating crimes last week, including a child injured by a BB gun, a purse stolen at Chipotle's on Broad Street, an assault and robbery after-hours on the W&OD Trail and a police chase.

Highlights from the most recent report from the City of Falls Church Police:

  • Smoking In a Non-Designated Area, 6795 Wilson Blvd. #2 (Café Hoang) On Oct. 14, a 35-year-old man from Falls Church, was arrested and released on summons for Permitting Smoking In a Non-Designated Area.
  •  Public Drunkenness and Trespassing, 6757 Wilson Blvd. (Eden CenterOn Oct. 14, a 56 year old man of no fixed address, was arrested for Public Drunkenness and Trespassing.
  • Driving Under the Influence, 1300 block S. West St. On Oct. 14, a 55 year old man of Falls Church, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.
  •  Narcotics Violation, 200 block Lawton St. On Oct. 15, an officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation.  The driver, a male, 27, of the City of Falls Church, was arrested and released on summons for Possession of Marijuana.
  • Assault and Strong Arm Robbery, Washington and Old Dominion Trail near Grove Ave. On Oct. 15, police received a report that an unknown suspect assaulted the victim and money was stolen from the victim during park closed hours.  No use of weapons was reported.
  •  Driving Under the Influence and Refusal to Submit to Blood or Breath Test, 6700 block Wilson Blvd. On Oct. 15, an officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation.  The driver, a 35 year old man of Arlington, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and Refusal to Submit to Blood or Breath Test.
  • Larceny from Building, 300 block James StOn Oct. 16, an unknown suspect(s) stole an iPhone from a residence.
  • Larceny from Building, 358 W. Broad St. (Chipotle) On Oct. 17, an unknown suspect stole an unattended purse. 
  • Trespassing, 421 W. Broad St. (Inns of VirginiaOn Oct. 18, a person from HyattsvilleMd. was arrested and released on summons for Trespassing.
  • Assault, 400 block Poplar Dr. On Oct. 18, a juvenile received a minor injury when a pneumatic gun pellet struck the victim.
  • Trespassing, 6795 Wilson Blvd. (Eden CenterOn Oct. 18, 61-year old male of no fixed address, was arrested and released on summons for Trespassing.
  • Eluding Police and Racing, 100 block W. Broad St.  On Oct. 19, a 23 year old man of no known address, was arrested for Eluding Police and Racing.
  •  Vandalism to Vehicle, 200 block Gibson St. On Oct. 19, police received a report that an unknown suspect(s) slashed tires.
  •  Larceny from Building, 500 block Meridian St. On Oct. 19, an unknown suspect(s) stole an iPhone from a residence.
  • Assault, 6795 Wilson Blvd. #1E (Café Metro) On Oct. 19, a patron was assaulted and received minor injuries.
