Police Log: Arlington Man Charged With Hit and Run in Falls Church

Falls Church City Police served warrant against an Arlington man who is charged with hit and run, reckless driving and driving with a suspended license last week.

Dana Mitchell, 50, is accused of hitting a car in the 200 block of Great Falls St. in the City of Falls Church on April 21. Police in Falls Church said Mitchell, who is still being held at the Arlington County Adult Detention Center on $2,000 bond, allegedly hit the car and it is not known if alcohol played a role in the accident.

Falls Church City Police are investigating a report of a car window smashed in, in the 400 block of S. Maple Ave. on April 22.

A 35-year-old Falls Church man was charged with public drunkenness in the 400 block of Hillwood Ave. on April 24.

Falls Church City Police are investigating a report of a storm door stolen from a home in the 300 block of Grove Ave. on April 21.

A 50-year-old Falls Church man was charged with two counts of petit larceny in the 1200 block of W. Broad St. on April 24.

A 35-year-old Falls Church woman was charged with trespassing, breaking and entering with intent to damage and destruction of property in the 400 block of Hillwood Ave. on April 24.

A 25-year-old Arlington man was charged with driving under the influence in the 6200 block of Leesburg Pike on April 25.

Falls Church City Police are investigating a report of shoplifting in the 400 block of S. Washington St. on April 25.

A 41-year-old man of no fixed address was charged with panhandling in the 1000 block of E. Broad St. on April 26.

A 21-year-old Silver Spring, Md. man was charged with possession of cocaine in the 6700 block of Wilson Blvd. on April 27.

A 49-year-old Falls Church man was charged with possession of cocaine, assault and battery and public drunkenness in the 300 block of W. Broad St. on April 28.
