POLICE LOG: Four Drug Arrests in Falls Church to Start 2013

The Falls Church police department supplied the following incident and arrest information. It does not indicate a conviction.

Falls Church police made four drug arrests in three separate incidents within the first seven days of January to start the New Year. In one case, police said the alleged suspect intended to distribute marijuana.

During a traffic stop in the 6600 block of Wilson Blvd. on Jan. 3, police found an unknown amount of marijuana in a car driven by Tyler E. Johnson, 19, of Fairfax. Johnson was charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute. Police also charged Garrett P. Treese, 21, of McLean, a passenger in the car, with possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.

On New Year's Day, police charged Alexis R. Lasso, 21, of the City of Falls Church with possession of marijuana in the 800 block of W. Broad St. and released him on a summons. Police also charged Lonnell Lasso, 19, of Woodbridge, with providing false ID to law enforcement.

In their third drug arrest of the New Year, police charged Ianje H. Castellanos, 24, of Silver Spring, Md., with possession of marijuana in the 400 block of S. Maple Ave. on Monday.

Abraham Lopez, 24, of Falls Church, was charged with driving under the influence in the 300 block of Hillwood Ave. on Jan. 1.

Jacob K. Ishler, 31, of Manassas, was charged with driving under the influence and refusal to submit to a blood or breath test in the 900 block of W. Broad St. on Jan. 1.

City of Falls Church police are investigating a report of a burglary in the 500 block of Roosevelt Blvd. on Jan. 1.

Ngan Truong, 37, of no fixed address, was charged with trespassing in the 6700 block of Wilson Blvd. on Jan. 2.

City of Falls Church police are investigating a report of a burglary in the 100 block of W. Broad St. on Jan. 2.

Osmar Argueta, 41, of Annandale, was charged with public drunkenness in the 300 block of Hillwood Ave. on Jan. 4.

City of Falls Church police are investigating a report of stolen money in the 6700 block of Wilson Blvd. on Jan. 4.

City of Falls Church police are investigating a report of a stolen GPS device from an unlocked vehicle in the 300 block of Kent St. that was reported on Jan. 5 but may have occurred between Dec. 21 and 22.

Abdulsalam Alhawsawi, 28, of the City of Falls Church, was charged with defrauding a keeper after he failed to pay a taxi fare, in the 200 block of N. Oak St. on Jan. 6.

City of Falls Church police are investigating a report of shoplifting in the 6700 block of Wilson Blvd. on Jan. 6.
