Police Respond to Middle-of-the-Night Fight, Stabbing at Seven Corners

Falls Church man charged with malicious wounding, possession of marijuana, more.

A man was stabbed in a middle-of-the-night fight last week in the Seven Corners area, Fairfax County Police said in a news release Friday.

Police responded to the fight in the wee hours last Friday, at about 2:45 a.m., pulling up at the 2900 block of John Marshall Drive in the Seven Corners area.

Officers responded for a stabbing and located a 25-year-old man with a laceration. The victim was transported with non life-threatening injuries.

An investigation revealed the victim and suspect knew each other. An argument evolved into a physical fight where the victim was allegedly cut.

Gerson Valdez, 19, of Falls Church, was charged with malicious wounding, possession of a fraudulent identification, and possession of marijuana.
