Police Need Information on Dog That Bit Woman in Falls Church

An unattended dog, leashed outside a CVS store in Falls Church last week, bit a woman as she was petting it.

The City of Falls Church Police Department Tuesday morning is seeking information concerning a dog bite incident that occurred on either Thursday or Friday, at about 4:30 p.m. outside the CVS Pharmacy (1150 W. Broad St. at Birch St.).

A woman was bitten on the leg as she pet one of two unattended dogs tied by their leashes outside the store.

The dog that bit the victim is described as a medium-sized shaggy mixed breed with salt and pepper coloring. The other dog is described as a brown Dachshund-type breed. The dogs were tied with green leashes.

The incident was reported to the Police Department on Monday. The victim may have to be given rabies inoculations if the dog is not located. If you have any information about the dogs or their owner, please contact the City of Falls Church Police Department immediately at 703-241-5050.
