Saturday is Drug-Take Back Day

Drop off your expired, used, or unwanted prescription drugs in Falls Church.

Saturday is National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day and Station 6 (6950 Little Falls Road in Arlington), which houses the Falls Church Volunteer and Arlington County Fire departments, will serve as a drop-off point.

The event is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event is meant to help residents dispose of potentially dangerous expired, unused, or unwanted prescription drugs, according to the DEA.

Since 2010, law enforcement officials and the DEA have taken in more than 2 million pounds of expired prescription drugs, according to a press release from the administration.
