WEEK IN REVIEW: Old Week, New Year in Falls Church

The first week of 2013 started the year off with fun and some goal setting.

As we go into the first full week of 2013, let’s take a second to look at last week’s news in Falls Church.

Watch Night was a success again, drawing hundreds of people into “The Little City” to enjoy music and games to bring in the New Year.

As the New Year has rolled in, so have new lights at the George Mason High School baseball/softball complex. The two teams will now be able to play their home games under the lights, hopefully drawing a bigger crowd at the games.

Falls Church City Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Toni Jones doesn’t like coming up with resolutions as much as she likes to set goals. For 2013, Jones has some goals she believes can be met with ease.

The first report from Falls Church police included a man firing a gun inside a building. No one was hurt, but the man was charged.
