  • On Friday, federal agencies in the Washington, DC, area are OPEN under 2 hours DELAYED ARRIVAL and employees have the OPTION FOR UNSCHEDULED LEAVE OR UNSCHEDULED TELEWORK. Employees should plan to arrive for work no more than 2 hours later than they would be expected to arrive.

All City of Falls Church streets have been treated and plowed and are passable, but please use caution. The City advises the community to stay off the roads so crews can continue to work safely and effectively on snow removal and treatment and plowing with tonight's snow.

Residents and business are reminded to remove snow and ice per City Code (www.fallschurchva.gov/SnowRemoval), especially on sidewalks, around fire hydrants, and in catch basins. Removing snow from catch basins can be critical in preventing localized flooding as the snow melts.
