FIVE THINGS: Christmas Trees Arrive, Holiday Craft Show

Falls Church Volunteer Fire Department will donate a vehicle to another volunteer department in New York affected by Super Storm Sandy.

1-    City Council will hold a work session at 7:30 p.m. in the Dogwood Room inside City Hall.

2-    The Falls Church Volunteer Fire Department is donating its 2002 Freightliner/Medic Master reserve ambulance to the Island Park Volunteer Fire Department in Island Park, N.Y. so that they can continue to serve the public by providing basic emergency medical services. The crew will leave at 8 a.m. to deliver the vehicle.

3-    Christmas trees will arrive for sale at the Merrifield Garden Center today.

4-    The Recreation and Parks Department for the City of Falls Church will hold their annual Holiday Craft Show on Dec. 1 from 9 a.m. through 4 p.m. and Dec. 2 from 11 a.m. through 4 p.m. The event will be held at the Falls Church Community Center.

5-    If you are celebrating a birthday on Nov. 19, you share it with former news show interviewer Larry King, actress Meg Ryan and the 20th President of the United States James Garfield. Happy birthday!
