Five Things You Need to Know Today
New City of Falls Church council will be sworn in today.
1- New City of Falls Church council members Phil Duncan and David Tarter and re-elected councilman Nader Baroukh will be sworn in at 8 p.m. at either City Hall or the Falls Church Community Center (depending on availability).
2- A reception for the new council members will be held at 6:45 p.m. inside the art room at the Falls Church Community Center.
3- City council will select a new mayor and vice mayor following the swearing in.

4- Lots of great talent will fill Cherry Hill Park on Thursday evenings this summer running through Aug. 2. All performances start at 7 p.m.
