The two Republican presidential candidates will not be on primary ballots in March.

The names of former House Speaker Newt Gingrich and Texas Gov. Rick Perry will not be on the March 6 presidential primary ballots in Virginia, according to a Bloomberg story Saturday.

According to Bloomberg, neither candidate submitted the required 10,000 valid signatures to get on primary ballot. Both the WSJ and CNN said not having his name on his home state’s ballot is a setback for the Gingrich campaign.
