Terry McAuliffe Gubernatorial Inauguration Events Unveiled for Virginia
Commonwealth Day of Service is Saturday, Jan. 4
The Terry McAuliffe Inaugural Committee announced Thursday additional events surrounding the inauguration of the 72nd governor of the Commonwealth, according to a news release from inauguration organizers.
“We’re thrilled to announce, as part of the inaugural festivities, there will be a Commonwealth Day of Service, inaugural balls in Abingdon, Norfolk, and Richmond, as well as the First Lady’s Luncheon the Sunday following inauguration day,” said Executive Director Brynne Craig.
“The Governor-elect and future First Lady look forward to Virginians joining in service and celebration across the Commonwealth to give back to their communities and kick off four years focused on finding common ground on issues that matter to us all.”
