Deane one of two Democratic candidates running for commonwealth's attorney seat in Arlington County, an office that also has jurisdiction over Falls Church.
With sitting Commonwealth's Attorney Richard Trodden not running for re-election and no Republican candidates seeking the seat, the race comes down to Democratic candidates .
Voting for the primary is Tuesday. Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Occupation: Partner at the Albo & Oblon law firm in Arlington
Past political experience: Served as assistant Commonwealth's Attorney in Fairfax County under Bob Horan.
Top three issues:
- Add Spanish-speaking prosecutors to the Arlington County Commonwealth's Attorney Office to work with Spanish-speaking victims.
- Create a Drug Court program to help deal with first-time, non-violent offenders. Drug Court, which exists in several states, offers education and other programs aimed at helping turn non-violent offenders into productive citizens.
- Maintain prosecutorial consistency throughout criminal cases.
