SPEAK OUT: Who’s the Best Fit for City Council?

The seven candidates took advantage of their last public chance to sway voters.

Over the last several weeks, , , , , , and Mayor have campaigned around Falls Church for three city council seats.

Tuesday night, all seven candidates participated in the final public forum before the May 1 election.

More than 50 people filled council chambers at City Hall Wednesday night to hear the candidates answer questions. Each candidate had a minute and a half introduction, a two-minute closing and time to answer and rebut questions.

The event was co-sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Falls Church and the Falls Church Village Preservation and Improvement Society.

With the election just under two weeks away, which candidates have showed they are ready to help lead the city?

Phil Duncan makes the most sense. He is open, honest and if you want to know where he stands on something, just ask him. He'll tell you. He's been active in Falls Church community circle for years, and he's one of the most inclusive, collaborative people you'll ever meet. He can bring people together.

I have worked with Phil on many boards. And hands down the go to guy here. he is engaging, fun and an adult. I trust not only him as a person, but his judgement. I normally don't vote. but this election I am going out of my way to give Phil my vote.. GO PHIL!
