Tonight: Eastbound Dulles Access Road to Close Overnight The eastbound lanes of the Dulles Access Road (the one with no tolls) will be closed overnight Tuesday (tonight) and the next three nights from approximately 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. The closing is necessary because subway construction crews will be working on a large concrete structure that will straddle two piers on each side of the eastbound highway. The exit to Route 7 (Leesburg Pike) will remain open. The new Silver Line is under construction in the median of the Dulles Access Road.

Closing schedule: 7 p.m.: The left lane of the westbound  access road will close near Route 7.
7:30 p.m.:The right lane of the eastbound access road also will close near Route 7.
8 p.m.: All eastbound access road traffic will be diverted on to a single westbound lane. At this time, westbound access road will be two-way traffic.

This work is expected to occur intermittently as needed through the end of July.

Tysons Boulevard Closures at Route 123 Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project crews plan to close Tysons Boulevard from Galleria Drive to Route 123 (Chain Bridge Road) overnight Tuesday to Thursday for pier and station work. In addition, all turn lanes from Galleria Drive and northbound Route 123 onto Tysons Boulevard will be closed.

These closures will be in place from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night. Through traffic on eastbound Tysons Boulevard toward Route 123 will be detoured as follows:
Left on Galleria Drive/Westpark Drive
Left on Westbranch Drive
Right on Tysons Boulevard
Left on International Drive to access Route 123

An alternate route for hotels and businesses along Tysons Boulevard would be to turn left on to westbound Tysons Boulevard, then left on International Drive. Note: Galleria Drive only allows a right turn on to International Drive and thus does not access Route 123.

Flagging Operation Continues at Scotts Crossing Road/Route 123 for Truss Work Bridge construction over Scotts Crossing Road at the Route 123 intersection will continue during the overnight hours. Scotts Crossing Road will be closed to through traffic for safety reasons while the bridge work is performed over the road. However, flaggers will be on site to allow cars to access Scotts Crossing Road, because there is no alternate detour for Gates of McLean residents.

This closure is scheduled to be in place between 9:30 p.m. and 5 a.m. Tuesday to Thursday and from 9:30 p.m. to 9 a.m. Friday. Signage will be installed to warn drivers approaching the intersection from all directions that the flaggers are ahead. Drivers are urged to use extreme caution when traveling through this intersection.
