WEEK IN REVIEW: Virginia Lawmakers Speak Out on Gun Laws

Falls Church police are looking for three men believed to be responsible for two robberies.

As the nation still mourns over the shooting deaths of 20 children and six educators in Connecticut, Dick’s Sporting Goods suspended the sale of semiautomatic rifles in the stores and one Falls Church man thought it was the right thing to do.

Virginia lawmakers also spoke out last week on the issue of gun laws.

Gov. Bob McDonnell questioned if teachers should be armed and Del. Jim Moran introduced the NRA’s ‘Gun Safety Act.’

Falls Church police are looking for three men connected to two robberies within 30 minutes of each other. Police said at least one of the men is believed to be armed with a semiautomatic handgun.

George Mason High School is getting lights at their baseball and softball complex in time for the 2013 season. The light poles are expected to go up this week after arriving last week.
