Falls Church Lineman Heading to Glenville State

Kenric Lofton will play on the offensive line at Glenville State.

Surrounded by family, friends and teammates, lineman Kenric Lofton signed his Letter of Intent Friday to play football at Glenville State College. Glenville State competes on the Division II level in the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

Lofton, who grew in the Annandale/Falls Church area, is projected to play along the offensive line at Glenville State, said Said Aziz, head coach of the Jaguars. Aziz said Lofton was a three-year varsity starter for the Jaguars playing on both the offensive and defensive lines. Lofton was named all-National District as an offensive and defensive lineman, Aziz said.

Lofton told his teammates the work towards college should not wait until your senior year, but rather get an early jump as a freshman. He told them to keep their grades up, work hard and always give everything you've got.
