Falls Church Middle School Closed for Sewage System Repair

Mary Ellen Henderson Middle school students off; teachers must report to George Mason High for training day.

Mary Ellen Henderson Middle School will be closed Thursday because of a problem with a sewer line.

Students have Thursday off and teachers must report to George Mason High by 8:30 a.m. for a training day.

Officials said it was determined early in the evening that water will need to be shut off at varying times to the facility Thursday while repairs are made.  Dr. Toni Jones, superintendent of Falls Church City Public Schools, said out of concern for the health of students and staff, the building will be closed.
