Falls Church Resident Christopher Tran Inducted into JMU Honor Society

Tran is majoring in Accounting.

Falls Church resident Christopher Tran was one of 35 students was recently inducted into the James Madison University chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma. Tran, class of 2015, is majoring in Accounting.

Beta Gamma Sigma is an international honor society that provides the highest recognition a business student anywhere in the world can receive in a baccalaureate of graduate program at an AACSB International accredited school. BGS celebrated its 100-year anniversary in 2013. The JMU chapter received its charter in 1983.

Potential members are invited based on high scholastic achievement in business subjects. To be eligible for membership in Beta Gamma Sigma, a student must have an academic ranking in the upper 10 percent of the junior or senior class and the upper 20 percent of the graduating master's class.
