George Mason High School Crowns Homecoming Court

George Mason crowns their homecoming king and queen.

It's that time of year — fall leaves are starting to turn, pumpkin patches are springing up at local churches, and everyone's rooting for their favorite football team. 

Falls Church City Public School's George Mason High School saw one of the largest home team crowds in a long time at their homecoming game over the weekend. 

The football team saw a 33-20 win over rival Madison County, and Nate Jones and Courtney King (above) were crowned Homecoming King and Queen.

FCCPS reports that the Mustang football program is enjoying a resurgence this year under head coach Tony Green, now in his second season. George Mason is 3-2 so far this year and undefeated at home. The Mustangs travel to Strasburg next week before hosting Warren County on Oct. 18.
