Mason Looking to Extend Winning Streak This Week

Find out whom the other Falls Church-area high schools match up against tonight.

After shutting out John Champe High 23-0 last week, the George Mason Mustangs are still riding high.

Head Coach Tony Green said upcoming games, including tonight’s matchup with Bull Run District opponent William Monroe High (0-7), are critical. Mason (1-6) matches up well on paper against Monroe, said Green.

“They have a very explosive offense that we need to keep in check,” said Green. “The ball control nature of our offense should help with that. I have seen no let up in practice after last week’s win. We are trying to make the playoffs so each game has to be approached like a playoff game.”
