The George Mason High School Mustangs this weekend hosted the first ever Regional 2A East swim meet.
Nine schools assembled in Arlington at the new Wakefield High School pool for a very competitive meet, according to FCCPS.
Some Mason records were shattered and the teams' consistent finishes in the top 8 places added points to their team totals all evening to result in a first place finish for the Mason Boys and second place for the Girls.
The teams leave for States on Thursday. The meet will be held Friday at the Christiansburg Aquatics Center (outside of Blacksburg).
