James River-Buchanan downs Mason 67-31

The shots were either to strong or too short and it resulted in the George Mason Mustangs losing in the semifinals of the Virginia High School League’s tournament in Richmond Thursday.

Mason lost to James River-Buchanan 67-31.

The Mustangs shot 10 for 49 while James River connected on 22 of 52 shots. James River also connected on 6 of 15 three-point shots while the Mustangs, who usually shoot well from beyond the arc, only made one of 4 three-pointers.

Noel Obusan led the Mustangs in scoring with 7.

James River’s Chris Ware led all scores with 18.
