Week 3 Recap

Week 3 Recap

Good Afternoon Everybody!

In the same way I started last week's blog this week I just want to say congratulations to Jered Weaver for throwing a no hitter last night, another week & another no hitter. Now let's get it started with my week 3 recap.

Surprising
1) The starting pitcher leading baseball in wins is...Lance Lynn of the Cardinals (who?)

2) Speaking of the Cardinals, their offense without Lance Berkman & King Albert are leading the National League in Runs. Very Impressive

3) Marlins new closer Heath Bell is pitching to a 11.32 ERA with 3 blown saves.

4) The Phillies finished April 11-12. The last tIme they finished a month under .500 was in June 2009(they were 11-15 that month).

5) The Yanks & Sox are currently 4th & 5th in the AL East. Wow

Not So Surprising
1) Josh Hamilton leads the American League in Batting Average, Home Runs & RBIs, notes to Texas, SIGN HIM!

2) That the Nationals called up super prospect Bryce Harper, interested to see if he is here to stay or just here for the moment.

3) Giants catcher Buster Posey is currently hitting .342 thus far. Good for him especially after ankle injury he suffered last year.

4) Cole Hamels is leading the NL in strikeouts. Phillies, SIGN HIM!

5) Dodgers left fielder Dee Gordon is leading the league is stolen bases. Saying that he is fast is a understatement believe me.

Week 3 Power Rankings
1) Rangers - Power hitting with Power pitching

2) Dodgers - Matt Kemp and Clayton Kershaw & Andre Either is a dangerous threesome for the National league currently.

3) Rays - All star third baseman is out for 6-8 weeks, big blow to the Rays

4) Cardinals - Self Proclaimed baseball Heaven is not showing any signs of hangover from last year

5) Nationals - Struggled lately but remained in the top 5 due to that starting pitching. Big statement series this weekend versus the Phillies.
