Put your old bike to good use! Donate it to Bikes for the World, a local non-profit and the nation's largest recycler of used hikes for charitable purposes overseas. Bring your unwanted bicycle in repairable or better condition (or bike parts & accessories), and get a receipt good for tax purposes and the good feeling of knowing this under-utilized item will empower someone to improve his income, attend school, or obtain health services. Volunteers will receive and prep your bike for storage and shipment. A suggested, but voluntary donation of $10/bike is suggested, to defray a share of expenses in delivering the bike to a qualified destination in Africa or Central America. For additonal info, visit www.bikesfortheworld.org or call 703-740-7856 or write yvette@bikesfortheworld.org.
