33rd Annual Memorial Day Falls Church Parade and Festival Set for Monday

Watch a video here of last year's parade!

The City of Falls Church will host the Annual Memorial Day Parade and Festival, rain or shine, on Monday.

The festival takes place on City Hall grounds, 300 Park Ave., Monday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Festival-goers of all ages will enjoy live music, amusement and pony rides, arts and crafts, food, civic and business booths, and much more.

The very first Memorial Day Parade was in 1951. However, the gas crisis caused the City Council to cancel the parade in 1981 (but the festival went on!). Happily, the parade was back in 1982, and the organizers decided to name it the First Annual Parade and Festival. The city has consistently celebrated Memorial Day with a Parade since 1982.
