Falls Church Arson Still Under Investigation
Investigators looking at 2010 fire at the same location as possible arson as well.
Fairfax County Fire and Rescue continue to investigate the July 14 arson of a Falls Church home. Investigators determined the home had been set ablaze causing $25,000 in damages. According to a Fairfax Times story, it was the second time the home had been set ablaze. In November 2010 while the home was still under construction, the large home at 2142 Haycock Rd. caught fire, causing $1 million in damages, according to a Fairfax Times report. “Anything they were looking at then, we’ll look at now,” spokeswoman Renee Stilwell said Tuesday of the investigation. “We will continue to investigate it until we solve it.” Firefighters were called to the vacant home around 2 a.m. July 14 and found smoke coming from the top floor.
