No Winning Powerball Ticket Sold in Falls Church

Closest winning ticket sold in Arlington, lottery officials say. The jackpot had climbed to a record $580 million; several people in Virginia won $1 million.

Sorry Falls Church, there were no winning Powerball tickets sold here this time. However, if you bought a Powerball ticket at the 7-Eleven at 5267 Lee Highway in Arlington, you may want to check your tickets. John Hagerty, spokesman for Virginia Lottery, said there was a $1 million ticket sold there. The winning tickets of the more than $500 million jackpot were sold in Missouri and Arizona. Hagerty said there were also $1 million tickets sold in Richmond, Daleville and Harrisonburg. “Other parts of the state may have been jealous if Falls Church won again,” Hagerty said Thursday morning.
