Creative Cauldron presents the brand new musical at ArtSpace Falls Church
Spend your Saturday night at ArtSpace Falls Church for the premiere of What Kind of Love: An Evening with Thomas Jefferson and Sally Hemings. The dramatized concert version of this new musical written and directed by PJ Thiessen alongside composer and musical director Alvin Smithson is part of Creative Cauldron’s FOURTHWall Cabaret Series. The musical tells the story of Thomas Jefferson and his slave Sally Hemings through the eyes of Hemings and Jefferson’s eldest child Patsy. PJ and Alvin were inspired by the 1976 book by Fawn Brodie, Thomas Jefferson: An Intimate Portrait, and the controversy surrounding the supposed love affair.
