Falls Church School to Reopen After Sewage Leak
School had been closed for two days.
For two days this week Mary Ellen Henderson Middle School sat vacant as crews worked feverishly to repair a sewage leak. But the school will reopen Friday now that the sewage leak and electrical system has been repaired. “We are home tomorrow, fully operational,” Principal Seidah Ashshaheed said in a Falls Church City Public Schools release. Officials detected the sinkhole and outside sewage leak around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday and the school had been closed since.
