Falls Church Housing Market Thriving

Falls Church homes are some of the highest priced in the Washington metropolitan area.

If you’re looking for a home in Falls Church, expect to pay some of the highest median sales prices in the Washington metropolitan area, according to the Washington Business Journal. In fact, according to the publication, that price can be around $570,000. When you add the City of Falls Church’s proximity to Washington, DC and the top-notch school system (Falls Church City Public Schools), you can expect prices to go up, said Realtor Tori McKinney, owner of ROCK STAR Realty. “Falls Church is so close to the nation’s capital,” McKinney said. “Location and schools is what drives prices.” For the first time since 2005, active home listings fell below 8,000 in the RealEstate Business Intelligence report in the Washington, DC area, according to…

Mad Fox’s ‘Rock Star’ Moving up the Popularity Chart

Irish-style red ale big hit with Falls Church brewpub.

Bill Madden has been in the beer brewing business for 17-years but never has he joined with a “Rock Star” to produce a big hit with his patrons. The Rock Star Red debuted on St. Patrick’s Day at Mad Fox Brewing Company and has been a big hit ever since. The local rock star realtor Tori McKinney won the opportunity to have a beer named after her during last year’s Greater Falls Church Chamber of Commerce Gala auction. “In the beer you can taste caramel with a malt accent, lightly hopped, medium bodied,” said Madden, owner of Mad Fox. “There’s a bit of Tori in every glass.
