Super Bowl 2013: Falls Church High Coach Hopes Former Player Has Good Super Bowl

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Torrey Smith was coached by Falls Church High School Football Coach Said Aziz in 2005.

Ask Falls Church High School Head Football Coach Said Aziz whom he thinks will win Super Bowl XLVII and he won’t hesitate to say it’s the San Francisco 49ers. Aziz, however, does want his former Stafford High School player and now Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Torrey Smith, to have a good game. In 2005 when Smith was quarterback at Stafford, Aziz was the offensive line coach and defensive coordinator. “He was a really good kid,” Aziz said Friday. “I do want Torrey to have a good game.” According to the Ravens website, before playing his college football at the University of Maryland, Smith earned honorable mention All-Northwest Region as a quarterback his senior year. Smith also earned All-District academic honors as a junior and senior. …
