Falls Church Police Seeking Information on Homicide

Man was killed by gunshot earlier this month.

Falls Church police are still seeking information about a fight that ended with one man dead earlier this month.

"We have nothing new on the case," said Amy Betor, spokeswoman for the City of Falls Church Police Department.

On Saturday, September 14, at about 11:30 p.m., police responded to a report of a fight in progress and shots fired in the 6700 Block of Wilson Blvd.

Officers found the body of Phuoc Huu Nguyen, 35, who had a cut on his face and suffered at least one gunshot wound.

Witnesses told police that a fight broke out in the parking lot involving several people and then shots were heard.

Police ask that anyone with information call the City of Falls Church Police non-emergency number at 703-248-5050.

The Sept. 14 incident followed a shooting in July 2012 in the same block, near the Eden Center.

In that incident, police said one person was pronounced dead by paramedics when they arrived on the scene. The man was reportedly shot as he exited his car and died after running a short distance.

A second person was found dead a short time later in a vehicle nearby from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, police said.
